Homeland PVC Decking
The difference between a PVC decking and composite is that PVC is made from 100% plastic materials where as composite contains a blend of wood fibers and plastic products. The downside to composites is that since the wood fibers are encapsulated with the plastic it doesn’t offer enough moister shield to resist cracking, warping or rotting when used in application so close to the water. Therefore we have sourced two high quality PVC decking suppliers that stand behind their products and offer a PVC decking that will not absorb moisture, making it ideal for high humidity and marine environments such as boat docks and pools where it truly outperforms composite and wood materials.

Western Red Cedar
Western Red Cedar is a durable wood that is naturally resistant to rot, decay and insect attacks. If left natural decking will turn to a silvery grey colour or you can apply an environmentally friendly stain to preserve its natural warm colour.

MicroPro Sienna (Pressure Treated Decking)
A Treated wood product that starts out in a warm tan colour but overtime will fad to a warm driftwood colour. The wood has been treated to improve corrosion resistance and reduce fungal decay. The patented MicroPro® technology used to pressure treat MicroPro Sienna results in treated wood products that are designed for use in residential and commercial environments where aesthetics and environmental standards are paramount. Because McroPro Sienna is a treated wood, overtime as it dries out you will get more shrinking then you would with Cedar. MicroPro Sienna is also a heavier option, something to consider if removing the decking panels in the Fall for winter removal.

Frame Only Option
For the Do-It-Yourselfers we offer a frame only option. You provide and install the side boards and make the decking panels to fit into your new dock framework. We can assist by providing a decking template drawing so you can make up the panels in advance of the frames arriving so it is a quick turn around time upon pick up or delivery of your frames.
